NAMIBIA INFRASTRUCTURE FUND

The Government Institutions Pension Fund (GIPF) has championed the establishment of the Namibian Infrastructure Fund (NIF), which is a dedicated and focussed infrastructure fund. The object of the fund is to realise superior financial returns through income from and capital appreciation of infrastructure investments made in portfolio companies across Namibia.

The GIPF invested N$280 million in Fund. An independent Board of Trustees represents the interest of investors by overseeing this bewind trust, registered with NAMFISA (15/ SVP/15). The NIF’s governance structure ensures transparency, accountability and fairness with the support of an Investment Committee, a Conflicts Committee and an Audit and Risk Committee.
